Thanks for posting that. I thought that issue of "The Quick and the Dead," was awful. I remember Crowe's character a little, but the theme as a whole was silly, despite Gene Hackman. The Sharon Stone character was not credible, despite her body. imdb.com Thell Reed, cited by Crowe as his mentor in the use of handguns, is probably history's fastest quick draw artist. imdb.com He was famous back in the 60s when fast draw was a popular fad. I once saw a fast draw contest in a parking lot. They popped balloons with the fragments of black powder emanating from the muzzle, and were timed. It looked silly to me, a true appreciator of responsible firearms handling.
