I said I "suspected" it, not "believed" it. I thought it was somewhat out of character for him to voice support for the insidious ARMs. After all, he's the guy who warned against "irrational exuberance".

Greenie stayed too long, and should have retired earlier.

Slagle,

Today Maria Bartiromo had a one-hour Alan Greenspan special on CNBC. After watching him closely, I concluded that he's still the same Greenie we all love/hate. So I no longer suppose that senility can excuse him for the housing bubble. I've given up trying to understand how so many people at all levels could be so stupid.
