Sure sounds to me like he was taking that acorn to his nest, most likely in your attic. Squirrels are even more destructive than mice -- you might want to think about how to get rid of that little pest.

Another thing that squirrels seem to do is crawl down sewer standpipes and die, plugging up the vent. If you start having flushing problems or smells in the bathroom, that's what it will be.

My advice is worth what you paid for it! <GGG>
