I picked 100 miles not because I figured anyone would drive that far for any cup of coffee, but because I wanted a large radius to find out if they really did have just 11 stores. For my purposes 1000 miles would have worked better. It turns out they had a lot more than 11. Is it only about 100, or do they have a lot more I don't know, but the point is they are required by that San Francisco ordinance to get approval to open a new store just as Star Buck does. But apparently they aren't blocked from adding more stores while Starbucks is.

I looked Peet's up for a radius of within 25 miles and it appears as though there are only 2 or 3 Peet's stores in San Francisco proper.
WRONG! There's 11.
Strangest number, that.
