Gerard is a speaking parrot, not a monkey! I really enjoyed Crichton's last novel... It might have been his best one so far... were it not for its shaggy-dog ending. I guess Crichton has a sequel in store. Anyway, Next could be a great movie --a mix of biotech and horror. Movie director John Carpenter could give the thriller the "horror spin" Stephen King would have given to the book....
