Speaking of Africa.... Not long ago I had a conversation with a person who is an immigrant from Nigeria who recently visited Cuba. He liked it a lot. People seemed "happy"... free education and health care were great, the "free" rice and beans given out by the government were fantastic, etc.

After thinking about it for a while, I realized something - to those who live under a nasty cleptocratic rule, where people are abandoned to starvation, Socialism may look attractive. I would not "recommend" it, but at least I can understand the sentiment. The cure for this would be a political system which would respect law and human rights.

But the stupid affluent American and European Moveoners and Answerites do not have this excuse.
