The Iranian regime may be unpopular. But it still has a strong minority of fervent fundamentalist supporters. They won't give up power just because economic times get rough. They have God on their side. The interesting thing with the Muslim countries is that every Dictatorship over there that hates us, [Iran, Syria, Iraq,] have a populace that likes us. Where the leaders suck up to us, the people don't like us. [Egypt] If we had gone at Iran in a different way, we would have had a good chance of being able to stand by while the Mullahs lost control.
