Nokias margins are somewhat poor. I don't know if its because they have some kind of EU-style inefficiencies in their process, or what. Unless they can get their margins inline with the US smart phone makers this will underscore their ability to compete. It hasn't hit them yet, but will.

The story really makes no sense to the American population that hasn't seen a Finnish cell phone since 1997. If they are doing so well, why did all the GSM companies in Europe compete to sell the iPhones?
