Side note: Blackwater has lost it's contract in Iraq. At least some good things are beginning to occur. Maybe Bush is finally taking advice from the right people.

Without confidence there is no system.

Confidence is the crux (and crutch) of a fiat money system. When the German people realized that the Reischmark no longer had value it no longer had value.

I enjoy reading your posts, they come across as well thought out and make a lot of sense. So I'm curious - where are your bets placed? I'm sitting in Cdn cash and a little uranium and not much else until we learn what Bernanke is going to do tmro. EVERYONE expects at least a 1/4 pt cut and I highly respect some of those who are predicting it (Jim Puplava for one). OTOH, Bernanke has yet to reveal himself. Personally, I don't have a clue, that's why I'm watching and waiting...
