by jove, I think he's got it Containment and deterrence go together in preventing war. But in order to work you have to be ready to fight and be believable. Or as the old Roman said, si vis pacem, para bellum Too many of today's "peace lovers" seriously seem to expect good results from running around demonstrating that they will never fight for anything. I would be willing to let them learn the natural results of this the hard way if only I weren't stuck on the same side as they are!
