Listen to Gen. Petraeus on Charlie Rose...he says that Qods forces have been captured in Iran, including the head of the operation that captured 5 Americans in Karbala in January. When they got the guy, they got his computer too, and found a 22 page training document that references the model of the building that was raided that had been built in Iran. Petraeus stressed that this was evidence in hand, not just intelligence. Petraues also noted that Crocker and State had been trying to conduct diplomacy with all the neighbors. While Syria might possibly yield somehwat, he noted that Iran has been totally unhelpful. Of course this won't stop the dopes on this thread who KNOW that Iran has every right to attack in Iraq, Lebanon, anywhere it pleases but the US has no right to respond anywhere, and that if diplomacy doesn't work it's always Bush's fault. I would show them Petraeus' evidence but since they also know that the US military is always lying there doesn't seem to be a point.

No micheal, the reason that Iran or anyone in the ME except Israel should not have nuke is because of Israel. You are right about upsetting the balance though. The balance is tipped in Israel favor right now, it would be a balance for a change.

You guys don't actually KNOW anything. You didn't know about Iraq when many of us here did. You don't have any credibility in predicting the future actions of the Middle East because you are easily duped. You guys have been wrong about everything there and have shown few signs of improved understanding. Rattling guns at Iran only strengthens that government. They are also living in that region while we are only visiting. That does give them more reason to be in Iraq. We have no such reason except for pillaging oil and profiteering. Remember the Sarin shells? Remember the weapons of mass destruction? Remember the mushroom clouds? Yep. The rightwing freakshow has no credibility any longer. It is all over but the whining and lying. You guys had your chance and you BLEW IT and are still blowing it half a decade later.
