IMO being long US stocks here is like two drivers playing chicken when neither has any intention of swerving off -- so you stay in the driver's seat as long as you dare before diving out the door at what you think is the very last moment before the big crash.

Trouble is, many believed that "the last moment" was back 2 or even 3 years ago, so in hindsight they got out too early and missed a pretty good bull run. I've only been out since this past July / early August, so my frustration at the continuing Grand Levitation Act has barely started.

Pray for me that I do not weaken and change my mind back again some day and end up buying into the actual top.

Somebody once wrote a piece somewhere about how bears are too analytical for their own good, and typically underestimate just how tenaciously bulls can and will maintain their belief systems even in the face of incontravertible facts until they've been sufficiently beaten over the head often enough that they finally cave in -- in fact that's one of the reasons they call them bulls.

I suspect this one will be no different, and will require quite a few barbs and a number of runs with the sword before it ultimately bleeds out on the bullring sand
