You actually believe the Surge worked? Sure,m you put 30,000 extra troops in one Iraqi state and pay off the leaders it will simmer down, but what about the Shia majority? They are furious that Bushies have been siding with the Baathist Sunni types. Now that bigger section of Iraq is out of control, plus almost all of Baghdad. Wonder why Bush didn't go to Banghdad but chose instead a remote airstrip in the middle of the desert guarded by 10,000 of our troops?
