The (R) candidates seem to think it's still '04. It may be that they all see Hillary as their opponent, and all think they can beat her.

I agree with you. It's going to be a re-group period for Republicans. As Greenspan said, they had the chance to create nirvana for us old-guard Republicans, when they had Congress and the Presidency. What happened instead was that they didn't focus on their core principals and they didn't keep in mind the good of the country. Instead, they focused their efforts on getting more power and keeping it. In the end, they ended up without accomplishing anything of value and without the power they tried to keep. What a colossal disappointment. I guess that's why folks like me, who were lifelong Republicans have become so vocally against the current incarnation of the party. Extreme disappointment breeds vocal recrimination, and rightfully so.
