That's the Fed, not ECB. ECB amount of temporary repos sloshing around is 740 Billion $ (converted from Euros). Oops, my, my, after posting that and the link, a corection: that amount WAS sloshing around - it got reduced since my post just a little time ago. The party is about the Fed cut. 25 bp is totally priced in and consistent with the rate for repos today, so it's coming now, and, according to futures, 75bp. is coming by December. ecb.int Note that 205 Billion Euros are due back 9/26 and 9/27 Should the bears have some fun in a week? We'll see. I think they should, if the ECB just sits and eats their repos and does not renew them. Remember 2000 when the Fed took all their Y2K repos back? Those big August repos are coming down. Bears NEVER have any fun, they are all about DOOM and GLOOM stuff, crashes and such. Depressing, ugh... -ggg-
