Oh, great idea, Rambi....If I were his mother, I would put him in the corner for a time out.

Wouldn't it be great if we really could do that sometimes, especially with grown up folks who should know better!

Agree with you on the taser. If there was danger, they should have wooshed Kerry out of the room....

Was the guy a Code Pink in drag? Or a member of ANSWER? It might help explain the taser....although IMO that was a bad move. Someone could have just lasso'ed him to the ground if he were out of hand.

Yes, I saw 2 of them, but was in a hurry to get some food shopping done before I have to walk the dog over to Jon's school. I then did hear about this on the news radio in the car.

I wanted to clarify that I wasn't trying to imply u-tube was on a par with the MSM, or that the video was in some way trying to play to my bias. What I was trying to say is that I'm not always aware of my bias, but with so much info being questionable it's more important (and harder) to factor that in when making a judgment.

Off to school.

I think the police showed bad judgement. He said he had three questions. He was just finishing his third question when they grabbed him to make him leave. If they'd given him two more minutes he would have blown himself out and that would have been the end of it.

What kind of country is this? An average citizen can't ask a politician a question without being surrounded by cops.

I'll answer; dysfunctional.

If those 4 cops needed a Taser to subdue the guy, they'd best go in for remedial training.

I've now watched two of the videos.

Meyer was being deliberately provocative.
He had numerous chances to comply with the officers'
directions and to avoid any further problems.

When he began to actively resist, I don't think the cops were
obligated to try and subdue him at the risk of their own injury.

It will be interesting to see what their protocols are for use of Tasers and whether there was compliance.

Personally, I think Meyer asked for it. He was playing to the cameras.

Just another tiresome Andy Warhol moment.

Looked to me like the kid was a basketball player, the way he held up his arms to show "no foul" and the way he "played to the refs." Nice acting job. He was a pretty big kid.
