Maybe Microsoft and others will take a nice cautious approach before they release new products in Europe? Microsoft should create committees that will thoroughly review the product to ensure it meets the European's standard. Lot's of consensus is needed in order to comply they could say. On the downside Europe might be several years behind others in their access to new technology. Keep your eye on the competition but give them what they want until they've had to much and cry enough already.
