You must be counting the 1993 attempt to bring down the WTC as an AQ attack. Fine with me. It was timed to be as close as possible (w/o being on a weekend) to the second anniversary of Saddams defeat in the Gulf war. The Islamists clearly considered Saddam's defeat a defeat for their side.

That's right.....that's what started the blood feud.......not because the left opposed the war but because the right is quick to go to war. After serenading Saddam through most of the 1980s, the right got a little fickled and threw Saddam to the wolves. bin Laden and company didn't like it.

Thanks for letting me make that point.

And thank you for finally seeing the truth; why animosity exists between Islam and the US.
