A while ago one of my cats a 10 year old had kidney cancer, the vet said I'll start him on Chemo, it's only 9,000. Instead I bought the cat good can cat food his last 3 weeks on the planet

That is rarely done anymore at least in urbania. I have neighbors that have spent nearly 10,000 to give their dog a somewhat longer life. I remember when I was young we had a bulldog that got sick and seemed near death. My older brother took him outside and shot him in the forehead with a 22 revolver. Bullet richocheted off his bony head, came back and hit me in the knee. I was the one taken to the Doctor, dog survived and lived a few more years. haha. Moral of the story, dont shoot a bulldog in the head. jdn
