The group tends to conduct itself differently than the individuals would behave independently. Judgements of individuals is usually based on the values held by that individual or on principle. Individuals participating in mob events tend to suspend personal judgement in lieu of the developing, often frenzied, efforts of the mob. However, the individual is likely to defer to the group in a mob, and blame the mob when things go badly rather than himself or the principles he normally lives by. Mobs are known for losing control when ganging up in loosely coordinated violent attacks, likely going beyond all measures of human decency. The individuals and the group itself could hardly be considered to be in a state of peace.
