So he could be a "martyr" for free speech? I'm not a psychiatrist. If I acted that way, I'd expect trouble too. If you continue to physically resist, as that asshole did, you have to expect some pain. AFTER he was tasered - he quit resisting, didn't he?

In high school, one of my best friends hated cops. He's get in fights with cops and get stomped, then arrested. That's what happens - they didn't taser him, they clubbed him. We've come a long way..

He was a loudmouth blogger and student journalist who had a reputation for going way out of his way to get attention. He really wanted to get on TV.

Not that he should've been tasered, but he was looking for a showdown.
