Why Fed wont let recession takes its course? Just a short recession and then a longish expansion? 1) Recession hits before election. No good. Republicans booted. Democrats 'harvest' the expansion. 2 The FED is seeing something really omnous and don't want to see the recession hitting. It reverts me back to 1979 when the Brazilian government experienced 1973 oil shock hit. Saw the potential effects of 1979 second oil shock hitting and had no way to fight it back.
