And usually, the people with the trusts have no idea what's in them. Back in my greener days in the job, I thought that if a person's trust was invested in tech stocks, that meant that the person knew about technology. Couldn't be further from the truth. These people have firms managing the funds and never devote a second thought to the funds other than the bottom lines and the expenditures disbursed.

Exactly. Most third or fourth generation rich are only concerned with maintaining the lifestyle to which they have grown accustomed. I think it irritates the hell out of some people that people like Kennedy can be rich and liberal at the same time.
