Do you remember anything about the Sep 1992 dollar crisis? Dollar hit a low of 78.43 on Sep 2 and Sep 8. FED cut FF rate by a quarter point on Sep 4.

I don't have FXF but I have a pretty good wad of SF travelers checks. I suppose that when I spend them on hotels and food in Switzerland I should keep a record of how much they have appreciated and then report that as income. Just the same way as when I fix a leaky toilet at home, I figure out how much I have earned by doing it myself, and report that as income. The there's the lady who kissed me when I gave her two dozen roses. She has to report the roses as income and I report the fair value of the kiss. Of course, I deduct the mileage on my car when I went to buy the roses.

I wonder what the suicide rate is for IRS auditors.
