You seem to have a faulty, but selective memory. Brinker promised to call counter trend rallies and to use the QQQ to play them. He kept calling for a bottom as the QQQ fell from late 2000 into 2001 when he gave up after it fell from $87 to the low or mid $40's... All I did with my posts was simply point out he was missing opportunities to "play the counter trend rallies." No more, no less. He was missing opportunities he promised to cover when he said "The way to make money in a bear market is to play the counter trend rallies." Heck, I was trying to help him. Maybe he got wise in March 2003 when he sent his bulletin the day AFTER I posted he was getting another opportunity at the 2002 lows. As for my asset allocation and how I played the ups and downs of the bear, I added shares when the market was down and I took profits when it was up many times between Jan 2000 and March 2003. I remember adding to my LRCX in late 2002 at (rounding) 11 and 9 then selling those shares later in 2002 at $13 and $15 then buying some back again in late 2002 at $12. That is just a small example.
