Bush betrayed the country during and after Katrina. That was the real Bush. He didn't lift a finger to defend anyone. That told us all we needed to know and it started his steep drop in popularity from about 50% to 30% where he is now and will remain. Though he should be much lower. But as John Dean writes, about 30% of the people in this country will follow a dictatorial type leader no matter how corupt and wrong he is. They need their mean daddy figure. Guiliani is vying to be the next mean dishonest cruel daddy. And if allowed to, he would screw us just like Bush did.
