Fortunate Son re the SLV ETF

Am I alarmed...no not alarmed...though concerned....

The fact that the article you reference is posted by ConspiracyPenPal suggests a certain paranoid view to begin with...Chapman also referenced is in that camp....Barclays is going under...??? and with it the ETF....There's a few leaps of logic there that at the current time I think are a stretch.

Additionally, the author's only idea is to sell your ETFs and get physical....Anybody with any size of holding is going to find that a heavy task...Nothing original from his mindset is provided...

Obviously, if one is worried about the metal ETFs then CEF and GTU are the places to go...both are about flat on the day.

CEF actually makes alot of sense right here...I see it has only a 5% premium to NAV and if one thinks we're off and running for Silver then that etf, which is about half gold and half silver, would be a better place to be with metal funds than GLD...

I'll think about it over the weekend....

It will be interesting to see if we get the post London PM Fix smash this week in Gold as we did last week...The COTS ought to show something like 180K short for the bleeding commercials...that could certainly be a negative on Monday...along with the fact that the storm in the Gulf won't materialize and thus set up a correction in oil...
