Whitewater was a dirty fraud and crass partisan witchhunt. There were no crimes. Not even any misdemeanors. There was nothing there. But they desperately wanted something to slime Clinton with because he was so successful and beloved. So the only thing left was his sex life. Everyone knew Bill played around so they went there, the bastards. Up until then a presdient's sex life was sancrosanct private. Almost all presidents have had sex secrets but no one ever touched it out of respect. Also, at the very same time both GOP congressional leaders were cheating on their wives, and going all the way. Gingrich and Livingston. GW Bush has also cheated on his wife, as did his father. So tghey were all hypocrites too. PS: The Clintons were cleared of every and all Whitewater accusations. Every single thing turned out to be a big nothing. No wrong was done. Nothing. They are innocent of all charges.
