That's a good question. First off, I voted for Bush in the first term, but for Kerry in the second. But as to the future, I have a simple guiding principle and it is that the issue over the Iraq war trumps all other issues. The crazy thing is that I line up with Republican values on almost everything else, except the war. Ron Paul is the only Republican who will pull our troops out of Iraq almost immediately, which is one of the reasons I like him. However, the likelihood of him being nominated is almost nil. I also like Guliani, because I think he is a smart and effective leader, but yes he's for the Iraq war, so that is a big black mark against him in my book. So if it came down to a choice between Guliani or Hillary, it would be like this. The only thing I agree with Hillary on is the Iraq war. The only thing I disagree with Guliani on is the Iraq war. However, that would be enough for me to vote for Hillary, just so we can get out of Iraq and get on the path to oil independence.

At the end of the day, the Democrats get that we need to be oil independent. The Republicans don't even register that as an issue.
