Doesn't most of Corporate Amerika borrow at the short end now anyway? Even if they borrow long, they swap to short rates, don't they?

That's why I think this move is so insidious: most Americans lend short (low-risk CDs and money markets) and borrow long (mortgages) while Corporate Amerika and the Pig Men borrow short and lend long. Meanwhile, the taxpayer gets hosed by imported inflation to boot.
