"Inflation is at the lowest level in as many years as I can remember."

Not THAT'S pretty FUNNY!

(You wouldn't actually be buying any of those funny, heavily manipulated, numbers put out by the government, now would you? I mean consumer 'inflation' measures like the C.P.I. with all of it's 'hedonic adjustments', 'chain-weighting', deflating the current price of computers several THOUSAND percent, not counting MORTGAGE PRICES anywhere in the CPI numbers, etc....)

If you want a somewhat more HONEST depiction of pricing inflation at the consumer level (though still with some of the downward pressure from the 'hedonic adjustments', LOL) then got to the home page of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank where an economist there puts out daily numbers for the "P.C.E.", the personal consumption price deflator, and the "trimmed mean P.C.E." --- (kinda like the "core C.P.I." figure but statistically much BETTER).

Then, don't forget to toss in a little consideration for the coming impact of the falling dollar and Fed easing on the national price level.

"Inflation is at the lowest level in as many years" Not for long I am afraid - the strength of the US economy has been b%tch-slapped by the Bush policies.

When a currency collapses it is generally inflationary - Remember when the dollar index was at 120 when Bush took office?:

CRB index going parabolic after Fed Move:

Oil at an all time high and looking a bit parabolic after cut:

The lowly "socialist" Canadian dollar and "socialist" Euro b%tch-slapping the greenback - of course they aren't waging foolish wildly expensive wars:

Look for further Dollar collapse under the weight of the Bush deficits and the economic strain of War.

Mortgage rates higher AFTER Fed easing and the housing market is TANKING (way to go Bush - at least the "Bushies" made out like bandits selling subprime crap to suckers on both ends):
