re: just analysing the situation. Off the north coast of Cuba you catch the gulf stream which runs about 3 knots and would run an oil spill right up to the keys, miami, west palm etc. In the gulf there is no strong current like that (just the loop). But the loop feeds into the golf stream...

It is very typical of your posts where you talk out of both sides of your mouth....never really taking a stand one way or the other. Well we could wean ourselves of oil but then again why can't we drill off the coast of FLA. You should really consider politics as a second career.
