I am pretty sure that the source for that article is the WR Hambrecht analyst.

that ultra thin mac has been in the works for years. It was supposed to be out this fall quarter (Oct-Dec) but last I read it was postponed to Jan which makes sense because apple usually announces its Xmas lineup in Sept.

Theres a solid state mac (memory based) rumor too which is a lot more interesting than an ultra thin.

Sources confirm plans for a smaller, ultra-thin form factored MacBook Pro

I am looking for a blowout in mac sales but I am not expecting too much more than 2.35 mm units. Thats a fairly agressive unit volume number. The upside is in the revenue these bring in due to apple's high attach rate and high margin periphials and software.

a month or two ago 2 million Macs was seen as agressive. Lets not get greedy. The units will be somewhere between 2.2mm and 2.4mm units.
