"All medications have to go through FDA approval. That's our system."

They are supposed to do so in an unbiased method.

The FDA has allowed this issue to become politicized. They decided to lie to the public to prevent marijuana from being available by prescription. They are being sued now for lying to the public about marijuana.

Correct for pharmaceuticals, Goldie.

(Incorrect though for natural herbs and or herbal preparations. The F.D.A. has no legal authority there --- although they have been trying for YEARS to get Congress expand their authority and power into this area....)

For example... the F.D.A. has no statutory authority over cabbages, garlic, willow bark, orange juice (vitamin C), licopene from tomatoes... or marijuana for that matter.
