LIAR. Bush took 1.5 million from Enron and didn't give it back after hew knew they were convicted criminals. Hillary let Hsu raise 850 thousand for her and gave it all back after she found out he was a fraud. She didn't know that before. So no reflection on her character.

This has nothing to do with Petreus. That is a wholly different matter.

The problem with Petreus is Bush and Bush's's lies and that he's obviously using Petreus as a tool to lie to the American people. Just like he used Powell to lie. Both were impeccable men, but Petreus made a big mistake because there is a time to say "no sir" and not obey, but he didn't do that, he drank the Kollaid and went along with the program.

The Surge is not really going to accomplish anything longterm. Petreus is also contradicting his own book on counter-insurgency (need one occupying troop per 40 in the population and we have only one tenth of that) and his progress in Iraq is only in one Sunni province. While we can applaud that a little, since it's a civil war which Bushies refuse to admit, it's pissed off the Shias big-time and now the south of Iraq is out of control, and of course we have no troops to handle that because they're all in the middle and the north. Plus the Iraqi government is controlled by Shias who now hate our guts. In fact both sides want us gone and hate our guts. An astronding 100% in a recent Iraqi poll said it was OK to kill US troops. 100%. That is much worse than Vietnam.

But this is all about politics, and Bush's propaganda effort to try and salvage the GOP candidates in 2008. The debacle in Iraq is a huge collosal waste and failure. Nothing good has come out of it whatsoever. Yet the GOP's entire gocus seems to be to prolong it and create new excuses and phony evidence to back that up.
