Ah yes probably, but I think the country was going to wind up either Communist or Nazi regardless. That was really the choice. Things were terrible and there was going to be a huge move to either the left or the right. That was one of the appealing aspects of the Nazis to some of the Germans at the time. They were anti Communist.

The Nazis did get a high enough percentage to maneuver themselves into that position though.
