Advanced First Term Avionics. The first part of it (electronics theory) was taught by civilians and the second half that dealt with avionics was taught by Navy and Marine instructors. It wasn't unusual that the school was run by a Marine. It wasn't just mixed as far as instructors, there was everything from Brits to Saudis in attendance.

I was told that they changed the form of the school a few years after I went through it, it didn't sound like it was as comprehensive as before unfortunately.
