Orphan candle update,

stockcharts.com

Hawkeyefan, I am glad you recognize the value of the orphan candle, this is an amazing tool that is only known here at this site, I have never seen it talked about anywhere else.

It is so obvious to me that I am shocked that no one else has ever recognized it. Or maybe they have, any one that knows of any one using a simular indicator to that of the orphan candlestick I would surely like to know.

I have wrote enough about it here that I am sure it will start showing up on other technical analysis sites.

As far as I know I am the author of this tool along with congestion centers.

I am amazed that I get very little post concerning the orphan candle, probably because it is not understood, but for you hawkeyefan, congratulations, you appear to have an understanding of its power.

You asked for $spy but I think you mean $spx so that is the chart I used.

The orphans are very plan to me and as always are very near the exact center.

The ophan that appeared last week is definitly an orphan candle and will likely mark a center of some degree. Likely the center of the last leg up.

It projects a price near the old highs so a retest is possible.

It is disturbing that the congestion center is not as large as the congestion center on the first wave down, this suggests to me that we may not make new highs at all, unless of course the small congestion center is the first part of the long version in which it will have two centers.
