"Put yourself in the place of authorities who don't have the luxury of time to react. "

She was outside. On a median. What was the rush?

Why don't you read the post before commenting. Do you think it's normal behavior under the circumstances that some tart shows up to an airport with what appears to be a bomb?

Let me see.....she had an electro board around her neck and play dough in her hand.....a bomb is not the first thing I would have thought.......more like is this the Britney Spears of the east coast? In other words, a silly girl trying to get attention.

Put yourself in the place of authorities who don't have the luxury of time to react.

Rather than criticizing authorities why don't you denounce the stupidity of that brainless tart?

How can I criticize the girl? The Boston authorities have taken it way beyond that. Sure it was silly.....college kids do a lot of silly things...some which end up killing them. So what?

I think the point that CJ is making and certainly the one I am making is that a healthy dose of paranoia can be a good thing. However, there is a threshold where the paranoia stops being beneficial, and instead, starts to encourage fear. Here's an example: out here, there were two guys on a ferry checking things out. They were suspicious looking because they were dark and swarthy. Now there are a lot of Americans.....Christian Americans......who are dark and swarthy. However, if they have an accent, they are perceived as Muslims. Well several people saw these guys and reported them to the FBI, police etc after they got off the boat. It did not dawn on any one to go up and ask them what they were doing.....not the people on board, the captain, the crew......nada. Had they done so, the whole thing may have been cleared up right away. However, now, because they have not been found many people are afraid to go on the ferries. Had the police in Boston taken a moment to ID the girl or to get more info they might not have reacted as strongly as they did. Instead, we have a situation that is blown out of preportion and one that has become a fear generator.

In other words, bin Laden is winning this war of terror.
