An attorney buddy of mine says banks love to lend to the recently BKed. They can only file once every seven years, so if they screw-up, there is no defense.

LOL. Ask your attorney friend if he would ever work for the recently BK'd BEFORE collecting a retainer. I think not and for obvious reasons. There is a "defense." It's called non-payment (i.e., default).

Banks and credit card companies will not lend to proven defaulters. Why? Because borrowers can still default (and they do) and lenders still don't get their money (whether because a judge agreed to wipe out the debt or because the borrower made that decision by way of default).
