So far he is OK. his cholesterol is down, etc. I am waiting for the bomb to drop. He seems OK...............He's been on Atkins since 1999. Gout is a problem an dhis BP seems high but he is OK with it........I'm not, but he doesn't listen to me.

Not to mention the extreme lift in the Uric acid count which WILL lead to a Gout episode if he doesn't drink @ 1/2 ounce of water for every pound of body weight each day. My source for this information is from the goutcure .com website, because last year I went through the joys of the swollen big toe and decided I needed to learn how it happened. It was the most informative website I found. Its actually quite an education in body chemistry to see how the crystals of Uric acid form and end up in the fingers and toes which rips the tender linings of the joints, which THEN causes the inflammation ..... I've taken almost 600 hours of massage therapy education, and in that was 2 semesters of physiology, and I recognized what the problem was and hit the books again, to realize I was enjoying a gout episode. You need to wake him up with a link to that website, and if you look at the Adkins structure...after reading that website...Adkins is Gout waiting to happen.
