If Dan Rather is going to pursue the whole conspiracy theory angle, then he's more nuts than I thought.

More likely is that he saw what Don Imus got in terms of a settlement from CBS.

He hired some investigators to get information about what was going on at CBS. If you read the documents, one of the things in the suit is how CBS tried to block the Abu Ghraib story are the request of the White House. If he can document that, then he has a good shot at convincing the jury that his ouster was at the behest of the White House.


Wow! Hadn't heard that. That shouldn't be too hard for him to pull off.
