Mahuhay was cutting... or maybe... some other kind of edge.

Jello's candidacy was pretty funny.

I'm always amused that the digital industry, the one of two industries the US still owns, is so indebted to a bunch of acid head hippies and anarchist punks.

I think Jobs is a fruitarian who's dropped acid more than a few times.

By the way, I'm sure Allen the Bouncer would have let you into Mabuhay.

I used to get into the renowned Jazz club Keystone Corner all the time when I was 19 with my 17 yr old girlfriend. Order up a pitcher of beer. Ahh liberal SF.

The police department was literally right next door.

Ha ha this is funny.

Allen is the bouncer here now.

Lizzie -

Thanks for quoting Rock Lobster. We are so off topic it's ridiculous, but that made me smile.

Yes, the Fab Mab was a very famous punk haven in the late 70s. I saw the Dead Kennedys many times there, as well as Crime, The Nuns, The Mutants, DOA, and X. Not to mention The Screamers, with the amazing Tomata du Plenty on lead vocals.

We could talk more about it privately, but I'm sure we are trying the patience of some of the people who come here to talk about Apple.
