There is a video that runs occasionally on a cable access channel here that debunks the greenhouse gas global warming hoax. Very convincing. But they make a claim that I never heard before. They claim that Margaret Thatcher started the global warming science stuff. Claims that in the early 80's she was having trouble with the coal miners, and was still reeling from the Arab oil turmoil so wanted to push nuclear energy. She thought that the, at the time, little known theory of CO2 green house gas global warming might give her ammunition to make nuclear more appealing. This video claims she gave a ton of government money to climate researchers to provide evidence she could use against fosil fuel usage. Ironic if true since her political enemies took the results of the research and ran with it for their own purposes.
