Madharry, BPZ Energy (BZP) -- You're welcome. Today's testing news makes it even more likely that the new MK guy would initiate coverage of these guys. They now have a huge offshore oilfield to develop AND an even larger offshore gas field to develop. All this stuff is gonna take big bucks and so far its been MK clients that have been the biggest financial backers of this company.

It was a bit disappointing that this latest oil test did not produce more oil but the fact that there is no water down there, even in this lower zone, definitely indicates that they have not completely defined the limits of this field yet. Thus the dream of a massive oil pool remains intact. This is key, it provides enough "blue sky" potential to keep the typical international E&P company investor interested in this company. This kinda guy wants blue sky potential, and with this stock he still has it with both their oil and their gas plays.

This latest news should be enough to get IFC to agree to invest in some convertible debt offered by BPZ, the funds from which should be enough to keep their rig going another 3 months or so.
