Zeus,

Please take your insulting mischaracterizations of my views somewhere else. I've had a lot of patience with your Catholic hate mongering but I won't stand for any insinuations about me. I'm tired of you.

My view is very clear. IMO, there are "individuals" working for and influential in the republican party that had an assorted number of reasons for going into Iraq.

1. Ensuring the free flow of oil, military bases etc...
2. Removing a hostile leader from power that might be able to fund or provide weapons to terrorists.
3. Israeli security issues
4. Preparing the Middle East for the "Second Coming"
5. The threat of the US dollar losing reserve status
6. Others

The merits of each would require a long discussion, but they all mattered. In the end I think it was a strategic and financial error by the administration. I stated that. But I find #3 and #4 especially troubling.

I don't think the merits of #4 really need to be discussed. Apparently there are some Christians out there that are very pro-Israel because they think Jesus can't come again unless Israel is secure etc... I don't care what they think, but IMO that's a preposterous reason for a foreign policy decision.

I think it's also obvious that men like Richard Pearle (who had a close relationship with Israel as a political and policy adviser and who had long been promoting the overthrow of Saddam as a major Israeli security objective) and all his neocon buddies with similar views probably had more in mind than just US interests when they were pushing the country to war. I have a huge problem with that. If our interests just happen to coincide with another country's that's one thing. If someone is working for the interests of two countries, IMO that's a major problem. If you can't understand the difference between that view and "blaming the Jews" then I can't help you. You don't have enough between your ears. If you do understand it but wanted to attack me anyway, then you are scumbag.

I had already realized you were incapable of balanced discussion on some matters because you are too filled with hate. I can deal with that by ignoring you. But if you insult me or insinuate anything about me personally again that is not true, I promise I will report you to SI.

Please ignore me. I will ignore you. I have no desire to discuss anything with a hate filled person and don't want to report you.
