Yes, that is correct, but Mars is also devoid of the diversity of life as we know it. If we superheat the Earth, then there will be mass extinctions of almost every species we know of, including ourselves. That is where we're headed, maybe not in our liftimes, but eventually. I understand that long term thinking is foreign to you, but you should try it sometime. It makes for better decision-making.
