Most people don't know it but you can create a link to a document just like an address on the web... only it goes to your own PC. For example, suppose I create a document in the Open Source Word Processor and store it on my computer as Cooking. By creating this link: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/All%20Users/Documents/Cooking.sxw I can store it on my browser toolbar and when I click on it, the page I stored comes up in the Word Processor. Now that doesn't seem like it would help, but all you have to do is store web links in the document and save it and you have all the cooking links you could possibly want. Just click on one of the links in your word processor and your browser will open with the web address screen.

And those links can also be to other documents in your computer.

Just remember the link icon is on your word processor toolbar - looks like a green ball with a chain link below it.

Works great and I can keep all the notes I want on the pages. I also create links that bring up the spreadsheets I use over and over again. That way I don't have to go hunting through my PC every time I want to get to an important spreadsheet.

Any questions?
