That's funny. I know what I've put in and I've gotten killed vs. inflation. I am 57.

I recall back in the late 80's early 90's, there was a point where a person retiring at 65 who had paid into SS their whole working life...got it all back plus t-bill(bond) interest in 23 months. Quite amazing that the bennies had increased that much and the payments in were no that much.

I imagine this has changed since.
