Fine. Refund my $$$ based on true inflation and real interest rates. I'll buy oil and be very happy.

To make my fantasy truly memorable, take every politician who has held office in the past 30 years and exile them to Catalina Island after mining the harbor. I'll gladly pay for a day trip that cruises the coast with high powered binoculars and directional microphones. Should be a tad bit more fun than Magic Mountain.

Don't they have parents? I'm kind of glad that mine are taken care of and have medicare and social security and all that, even though they don't need it thanks to savings and investments.

Re spoiled thankless complainers, as I've mentioned before my dad had two 40 hour a week jobs when I was a kid, with a commute from Newark to Manhattan. At 84 he can still wipe the floor clean of 30-somethings (though he hasn't actually punched anyone out since he was 70).

To hell with the current generation, they couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag. Who cares about a revolt of the milquetoasts?

They should learn to honor their elders, that is where the current crop of real estate investors went wrong, they thought real estate was a new game and totally disregarded the advice of people who had been in the business for decades.
